Check what an outside app is allowed to do on your behalf
You connected something a while ago and want to know what it can still reach.
Before you start
- You are signed in
Steps
Go to Settings and open Connected Apps.
The page opens with Third-Party App Access and a ▾ that folds the list away.
Read the line at the top: Apps you've connected and what each one is allowed to do on your behalf. Revoke any capability at any time.
Find the app you are checking. Each one is named, with an Official mark if DatsMe publishes it.
Walked on a real account: DatsMe Personality and DatsPet were both listed and both marked Official — see DatsPersonality and DatsPet.
Read the capabilities listed under it — one line each, in plain words.
They are specific rather than general. DatsPet's read Add a pet to your house, Read your public profile and Award you social points; DatsPersonality's were Save to your Activity Collection and Read your public profile.
Use Revoke on a single capability, or Revoke all to take back everything that app has.
⚠️ Each capability has its own Revoke, so you can remove one without disconnecting the app. ⛔ The revoke itself was not carried through on the walked account — taking away Add a pet to your house from a live pet is not something to try in order to write a sentence about it.

You know exactly what each connected app can do, and where to take any of it back.
